2.5 What you cannot do on your own record

Two of the five row actions are greyed out on your own user record.

Greyed out on your own record:

  • Disable
  • Delete

Still available on your own record:

  • Change Password
  • Resend Email
  • Edit

So you cannot lock yourself out and you cannot delete your own account, but you can change your own password and edit your own details.

Every other record is fully actionable, including other administrators. Disable and Delete are enabled against users holding the Admin role, not only against Members. The rule is your own record, not your own role: one Tenant Admin can disable or delete another Tenant Admin. Two consequences to plan for:

  • Administrators are not protected from each other. Grant Tenant Admin deliberately.
  • Keeping a second Tenant Admin account is what protects the tenant, since that second account is the one that can act on yours.
